Chris Cerimele launched Balmoral Advisors in early 2015. Since that time, Balmoral has advised on ten completed transactions and counting. Chris is an experienced investment banker with approximately 24 years in investment banking, finance and accounting. He previously led the chemicals and plastics practices of leading global mid-market investment banks including Houlihan Lokey and Lincoln International. He was also a senior member of the chemicals team at Grace Matthews. Earlier in his career, Chris worked with leading global firms including CSFB and KPMG.

Over the course of his career, Chris has advised on more than $20 billion of primarily mid-sized chemical and industrial transactions. Representative M&A Transactions have included two carve-out divestitures for Axiall Corporation, the sale of Royal Adhesives to Arsenal Capital Partners, and the Sale of Haverhill Chemicals in a 363 asset sale. Representative corporate finance transactions have included growth equity for Melior Innovations, P2 Science, and East West Copolymer, and debt refinancing for East West Copolymer.

Chris testified as an expert in court in connection with the Chemtura Corporation bankruptcy proceeding and has spoken on chemical industry, M&A and capital markets topics. In 2010, he received a 40 Under 40 Recognition Award from The M&A Advisor. Chris holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Southern California and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive), and is active in the community as board president of The Adoption Center of Illinois.
