Balmoral Advisors, a leading independent, specialty investment bank is pleased to announce that Omar Diaz has been appointed to Managing Director, effective May 1, 2021.
With Balmoral Advisors since September 2020, Mr. Diaz previously served as a Senior Advisor. In his new role, Omar will continue to advise clients primarily in the Industrials, Chemicals and Advanced Materials Industries. As a permanent member of the team, his additional responsibilities will include business development and contributing toward the enhancement of the firm.
Omar joins Balmoral Advisors with almost thirty years of professional experience. Prior to joining the firm, he led the chemicals practices at Seaport Global, Dresner Partners and Houlihan Lokey. He began his investment banking career with J.P. Morgan and Bank of America.

Omar Diaz has approximately thirty years of investment banking, management consulting and project engineering experience. Prior to joining Balmoral, Omar was a Managing Director at Seaport Global, where he was Head of Chemicals. In previous roles he served as Head of Industrials at Dresner Partners, as a Managing Director focused on Industrials at Allegiance Capital, as well as Head of Chemicals at Houlihan Lokey. Early in his investment banking career Omar held positions at Acquest Advisors, J.P. Morgan, and Bank of America. Omar holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and a MBA in Finance from the E.W. Kelley Graduate School of Business at Indiana University. He resides in the Chicago, Illinois area.
