Omar Diaz

Managing Director

Omar Diaz is a Managing Director of Balmoral Advisors who works with clients primarily in the Building Products, Chemicals and Materials, and Industrials industries. Omar has more than 30 years of investment banking, management consulting and project engineering experience. Omar’s clients have ranged from emerging growth to large, publicly traded enterprises. His transaction experience includes M&A advisory, corporate divestitures and carve-outs, take-over defense advisory, fairness opinion mandates, capital raising, and financial restructuring transactions on both the debtor and creditor sides.

Prior to joining Balmoral in 2020, Omar’s leadership positions at other investment banks included Head of Chemicals at Seaport Global, Head of Industrials at Dresner Partners, Managing Director focused on Industrials at Allegiance Capital, and Head of Chemicals at Houlihan Lokey.  Earlier in his investment banking career, he held positions at Acquest Advisors, J.P. Morgan’s Mergers & Acquisitions group, and Bank of America’s Energy Corporate Finance Group. Omar began his career as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte & Touche Consulting Group and a project engineer for Amoco.

Omar earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA in Finance from the E.W. Kelley Graduate School of Business at Indiana University.  He is a FINRA-registered financial professional.
